School Board and Leadership
A School Board whose members are approved by the Session of Liberty Church, PCA governs Liberty Christian School.
The Board is comprised of appointed members, many of whom are current or former parents of Liberty Christian School students. While some of these individuals may be parents of students, it is important to note that Liberty Christian School is not parent run. The Board sets policy for the school, monitors the performance, and also sets the long-range goals for the school.
The Principal is hired to oversee day-to-day school operations, including supervision of all faculty and staff, as well as executing the strategic plan and goals of the school. The Principal reports directly to the School Board.
Liberty Christian School is a ministry of Liberty Church, PCA, and is under the direct supervision of the Church Session, a School Board approved by the Session, and a Principal/Administrator.
* It is important to note that despite our close affiliation with Liberty Church, LCS families come from nearly 90 different churches in the Baltimore community, and represent a broad range of denominations and church cultures. Liberty Christian School exists to support parents, and subsequently churches, in their endeavor to grow children in the knowledge and love of God. As such, LCS students are not required, nor are they encouraged, to change their church affiliation. In fact, LCS celebrates the diversity of our student body.
